Air & Emission Studies

Ambient Air Quality

Air Monitoring SAL (ND) not only take up the monitoring of ambient air in normal urban conditions but also takes the challenges of conducting these assignments in adverse condition of extremely rural areas of different part of the country. There are several types of Air pollution and well-known effects of pollution; some are smog, acid rain, the greenhouse effect, and "holes" in the ozone layer. All these conditions have serious implications for our health and well being as well as for the whole environment.

Ambient Air monitoring covers Parameters like:

  • PM 2.5
  • PM 10
  • SO2
  • NOx
  • Ozone
  • Ammonia
  • CO
  • Lead
  • Arsenic
  • Nickel
  • VOC

Particulates (PM2.5 or PM 10 are small airborne particles that can penetrate deep into the lung. They come from many sources including manmade & natural sources.

Sulphur dioxide(Sulphur dioxide is mainly produced during the burning of coal and oil)

Nitrogen oxides (Nitrogen dioxide is formed whenever fossil fuels are burnt in air.)

Carbon Monoxide(Carbon monoxide is the product of incomplete combustion of fossil fuels)

Ozone (it protects the earth from harmful ultraviolet light. But this gas can irritate the airways of the lungs. It is formed as a secondary pollutant i.e. by the reaction of other pollutants with each other)

Metals lead, mercury, arsenic etc(Lead was used as a petrol additive, however with the phasing out of this fuel in 2000, ambient concentrations have now dropped significantly)

Methane & Benzene(Benzene is a hydrocarbon that comes almost entirely from vehicle Exhausts)

Ambient Air Quality
  • Flue Gas Parameters (O2, CO, NOx, SO 2 ,)
  • Measurement of Flow Rate and Temperature
  • Technical Advice Relating to Emission-Reducing Techniques
  • Dispersion Calculations (according to various international models).
  • Odor Measurement
Indoor Air Quality
  • As per OSHA norms

Noise Monitoring

  • Ambient Noise Monitoring
  • Work Zone
  • D.G. Set Noise
  • Insertion Loss
